Day 85: FRESH WIND — Pastor Bryant
Today’s Reading
Heb 1 – James 2
For those who were not in the 9:30 service yesterday, my spirit compels me to repeat to you an illustration that the Holy Spirit gave to me. In the sermon entitled, "I Tried To Keep It Together" from Acts 27, I spoke about the frustration that one experiences when you are on track to do the will of the master but things aren't going at the pace that you desire. Paul is trying to make his way to see the ruler in order to lend his testimony and the boat he's on seems to be going just a mile a minute. It would seem plausible for things to go slow when you have no direction or clear cut destiny. All the more intolerable to know you have somewhere to go but the pace you are keeping isn't commensurate. The job offers aren't coming yet you know you aren't lazy but qualified and industrious. The dates aren't coming when God has gifted you to be a great mate. The ministry opportunities just aren't there and you have a gift in you that must be shared! Paul tells us that things weren't going good until a storm came and the storm was precipitated by wind. Strangely and ironically it was the wind and storm that got the ship to pick up the pace and begin to move. Sometimes it’s your storm that will give you the push you need to make it. I shared with the congregants of Empowerment Temple on yesterday that in my travels to the West Coast both to preach and to visit my parents. I discovered that its quicker going out to the west coast than it is to fly back to the East Coast. Then I remembered the pilot on one occasion announcing that we were making it in ahead of schedule because a tail wind was pushing us! What a revelation to know that there was a wind pushing us and assisting us not just to make it but to make it ahead of schedule.
Imagine my heart leap when I rose this morning to do today’s reading and can’t get any further than Hebrews 7: 4 where it said in clause A,"He makes his angels winds!" Put your foot on the break. God makes his angels the wind! That changes everything! I've got to go back and reevaluate all that I have read over the past 80 days. That insight helps me to better understand the story of Ezekiel when the Lord took him to the valley of dry bones and the Lord asked him could the bones live and he retorted back, Lord thou knowest. In return God told him to prophesy to the bones and the bones began to come together because of the wind angels. So angels are assisting in bringing together the fragmented areas of my life. What about when the prophet was on the run and in a mountain nook looking and listening for God and an earthquake came but God wasn’t in the earthquake then the wind but God wasn't in the wind (angels) that would call us a biblical tug of war because don't forget Satan is a fallen angel so maybe the wind that came by on that dog day afternoon was the presence of something very ungodly. Don't get it twisted! What about those who sat by the pool waiting on the troubling of the water, or the wind from an angel to cause a wave so one might get healed. Or even the instance where the disciples were caught in a tempestuous storm but Jesus said to the wind and the waves, peace be still. It makes sense now that the angels had to follow the orders of their boss. So when we get to Acts 27, Paul made progress on that ship because of the aid and assistance of the angels.
Whenever there's a hot and humid day you hope for just a fresh wind to lend some relief. I pray right now for you that on this day under the relentless heat of your everyday travels you will experience a fresh wind (visitation of angels) I'm going right now to turn off my air and open the windows in hopes that angels will come through my house and carry a breath of fresh air!

Great, Fantastic, Fabulous! I loved yesterday's sermon at 9:30am service I needed that in my spirit and I needed the reiteration this morning. I am grateful to have been apart of reading the Bible in 90Days. I am also grateful to belong to a church that supplies my needs. I feel divinely Favored, because not everyone is in a house of worship that stretches them to want a deeper relationship with GOD. Not everyone is being fed what they need, when they need it and how they can understand it. But yes I have been "Divinely Favored" to be a member of the ET Family! Today's reading was right on point with my life!I wish that I were home to open my windows and wait for the Angels, but I am at work,so for lunch I am going to take a ride with the windows and hope to catch breeze from the Angels!
I was truly blessed by this message and by this journey thru the Bible in 90 days!

Wow! I agree with you today! Beautiful word! The angels will breath through my house today, WOW! Sometimes in the morning I wake up and ask God to breathe through me with his angels. When we worship it all comes together and that what makes it beautiful experience for us today.

Angels are ministering servant that work for those who will inherit salvation according to Hebrews 1:14
[Hebrews 1:14 "Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?"]
This means that because we are believers and joint heirs with Jesus Christ we have the authority over angels. They are waiting to work for those who understand their inheritance.
If you don't understand what was left for you in the will - your angels will stand by unemployed.
Understand that God provided angels to each and every believer.
Psalm 91:11 "For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways;..."
Luke 4:10 "For it is written: " 'He will command his angels concerning you to guard you carefully;..."
Hebrews 1:14 "Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?"

That appears to be a blessing in disguise! A windstorm!
"Or even the instance where the disciples were caught in a tempestuous storm but Jesus said to the wind and the waves, peace be still. It makes sense now that the angels had to follow the orders of their boss."
Who's in control? Just remember Peace, Be Still!!!!

I thank God for the angels God has placed on my path, throughout my journey. Angels are indeed ministering tools in our lives helping us get from one place to another. You never know who has been sent by God to assist you through a valley, over an obstacle or even assist you up a mountain experience. That's why its important to treat people with kindness, love and compassion. The very one you think is appointed by the enemy could very well be the one who is trying to get you delivered!
I thank God not only for the wind (of angels) but the declaration of a "FRESH" wind!!!!! Fresh being not stale, but new, invigorating, reviving!
I feel like soaring not only with eagles wings, but also on angels winds!

Nahum 1:The LORD is slow to anger and great in power; the LORD will not leave the guilty unpunished. His way is in the whirlwind and the storm, and clouds are the dust of his feet.
What Grand Revelation, I wont share my experience today as I always do. However, do know the storm came in passed, left some wind and few angels...

Angels, angels, angels, love God because he first loved you; He sends angels, He allows the Holy Ghost to move on your behalf, and He gave his only begotten Son for the saving of our souls. Now, isn't He the most awesome thought you can have? "I Will Praise Him All The Day Long." Thanks Pastor Bryant for being the man you are in the goodness of God.

God will send His primary priestly angel to change everything Exodus 23: 20-21 for His children, the angel will do all that you mentioned and more because God’s name is in him. Psalm 91: 11For He will give (V)His angels charge concerning you, To guard you in all your ways.
What a revelation to know that there was a wind pushing us and assisting us not just to make it but to make it ahead of schedule. – Amen to arriving to the final destination in God’s perfect timing.
Thank God for mild heat... maintaining peace today. Lord thank you for the more than 72,000 angels that are around the house!

Pastor you really made me think, most about this entire message. It made me study to be sure of myself. I know in the 7:30 am service the Holy Spirit came in like a wind and fire. The reason I say that is because the wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. It appeared to me that was the character of the Holy Spirit in the 7:30 am service.
I have never thought that deep to associate the wind with angels. As of this message I do believe. It brought this song to mind:” Surely the presence of the Lord is in this place. I can feel His mighty power and His grace. I can feel the brush of angels’ wings; I see glory on each face. Surely the presence of the Lord is in this place”. Amen.
Psalms 104:4
He makes the winds His messengers, Flaming fire His ministers. (NAS
Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire. (KJV)
